2014 Tour De France Grand Depart Stage 2

On Sunday 28th April 2013 myself and 3 others Mr Cockerill #1, Mr Hill and Mr Cockerill #2 are riding Stage 2 of the Tour De France Grand Depart 2014.

This stage is brutal to say the least! 210k with 3000m of climbing, the majority of which in the last 100k.

Everyone has taken a mixed approach to training.

Personally I’m training for UK 70.3 and Challenge Vichy Full so the extra bike focus has been great for me. Most recent ride 102 miles in Wales (in the sunshine!) with 3000m climbing

Mr Cockerill #1 is training for the Berlin Marathon and the Fred Whitton Challenge. Most recent ride 65 miles of North London Hills

Mr Hill is a fell runner easily tempted by punishing endurance challenges. Most recent ride 33 miles of Surrey Hill climbing.

Mr Cockerill #2 is also training for the Fred Whitton. Most recent ride unknown!

With three weeks to go the pressure is on! Hoping for some better weather!
